The Vietnamese electric car maker VinFast has revealed its all-encompassing plan to advance environmentally friendly e-mobility by utilizing cutting-edge battery technology. The company’s objective is to maintain its leadership position in the swiftly changing automotive sector through its emphasis on vehicle optimization, establishment of strategic alliances, and substantial investments in its facilities to augment internal knowledge.
VinFast has partnered with leading companies in the industry, including Gotion High-Tech for LFP technology, ProLogium for solid-state battery research, and StoreDot for extremely rapid charging solutions, to strengthen its battery technology capabilities. The VinES Battery Manufacturing Facility in the Vung Ang Economic Zone, which has an initial manufacturing capacity of 100,000 battery packs annually, is another project in which the business has spent $173.7 million.
The VF 6 and VF 8 eSUVs, VinFast’s newest models, demonstrate this dedication to sustainability. With a 59.6 kWh LFP battery, the VF 6 can be charged quickly—in just 25 minutes, from 10 to 70%—and has a range of up to 410 kilometers on the WLTP cycle. This model’s inside volume is optimized within its small 4.25-meter length, giving users plenty of room.
VinFast is positioned to drive the e-mobility revolution and put its clients at the forefront of developments in the automotive sector thanks to its creative approach to battery technology and dedication to sustainability.
