Motech Automotive Service Centers and VinFast, a Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to extend VinFast’s after-sales service network in the Philippines. In order to provide VinFast EV owners with full repair, warranty, and maintenance services, the alliance seeks to construct 63 Motech workshops as approved VinFast service centers.
The agreement aligns with VinFast’s strategy to accelerate green transformation and address the increasing demand for electric vehicles in the country. The company also plans to establish over 100 service workshops nationwide by the end of the year.
Under the collaboration, Motech’s service workshops will be upgraded to meet VinFast’s standards in facilities, equipment, and personnel training. VinFast will provide technical guidance and training to Motech staff, ensuring high-quality service as the volume of EVs in the country rises.
“Motech is thrilled to partner with VinFast as an authorized service provider for their electric vehicles in the Philippines,” said Johann Rommel Naguiat, President and CEO of Motech Automotive Philippines. “This collaboration not only supports the growing EV market but also addresses both range anxiety and service anxiety for Filipino EV owners.”
VinFast Asia CEO Pham Sanh Chau emphasized the importance of the partnership, stating, “Leveraging Motech’s strong reputation and extensive service network, we aim to provide Filipino customers with peace of mind and satisfaction, aligning with VinFast’s core values of quality, affordability, and outstanding after-sales service.”
Since entering the Philippine market in 2024, VinFast has rapidly expanded its presence through competitive sales policies and strategic partnerships. The company’s broader vision, For a Green Future, includes developing a robust EV ecosystem across Southeast Asia, with a strong focus on charging infrastructure and customer support.
With this collaboration, VinFast continues to strengthen its brand presence and reinforce its commitment to sustainable mobility in the Philippines and beyond.
