An open tender has been published by the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) to purchase thirty ready-built electric air-conditioned buses. The purpose of these Type-II buses, which have a 2×3 seat arrangement, is to support the state’s commitment to environmentally friendly public transportation.
The anticipated value of the tender is ₹36 crore. The tender documents will be available for download on August 15, 2024, and the deadline for bid submission is September 20, 2024, at 3:00 PM. In Lucknow, the bids will be launched later that day at 4:00 PM.
In addition to the ₹36,00,500 Earnest Money Deposit (EMD), prospective bidders must pay a non-exempt tender fee of ₹29,500. The EMD is set as a flat amount rather than a percentage, and payment for these costs must be made offline. The General Manager (Maintenance and Monitoring Team) at UPSRTC, Lucknow, should receive all payments.
Two covers are involved in the tender process: one for the technical documents and fee and another for the finance bid. The bid will be up for business for a full year, and the contract will be granted based on item rates. It is anticipated that the entire project—from contract award to job completion—will be finished in 365 days.
This tender is a component of UPSRTC’s larger initiatives to update its fleet with environmentally suitable substitutes, helping Uttar Pradesh have cleaner air and lower carbon emissions.
