With only nine days to the Ram Mandir Consecration in Ayodhya, the Uttar Pradesh government will introduce 100 electric buses to serve the more than 3 lakh pilgrims who are anticipated to visit the holy city beginning January 14, 2024.
As a lead-up to the consecration ceremony, the state has began the test run of these buses, with Yogi Adityanath, CM of Uttar Pradesh, slated to flag off 100 eBuses tomorrow from the Ayodhyadham Bus depot, according to officials of PMI Electro Mobility, which has provided these buses to the state.
Aanchal Jain, CEO, PMI Electro Mobility said that the PMI electric buses will offer a safe and comfortable transit for dignitaries, pilgrims and general public eBuses to complement green transport mission at Ayodhya.
Jain said that PMI Electro Mobility currently has 700 e-Buses operational in UP is looking to benefit from the states green push for zero carbon mobility in the city of Ayodhya ‘as the huge count of devotees likely to visit the city from the country and globally, will have access to a carbon free ride.
PMI currently has has over 1300 e-buses running across 28 cities in India.
