Ultraviolette Automotive, an electric motorbike maker, began exporting its F77 Mach 2 e-wheeler to European Union markets, with Union Minister for Heavy Industries H D Kumaraswamy launching the first batch. The business asserted that the exports of the high-performance, made-in-India electric motorbike will help India’s status in the global EV market.
Kumaraswamy hailed Ultraviolette’s entry into Europe as a watershed event for India’s automotive industry, demonstrating the country’s capacity to compete on a global arena.
In addition to Kumaraswamy, Karnataka Minister for Industries and Commerce, M B Patil, and company officials attended the flag-off ceremony at Ultraviolette’s manufacturing facility in Bengaluru.
“This export launch exemplifies how Indian startups are innovating in critical areas like electric mobility, aligning with our government’s vision of positioning India as a global hub for EV manufacturing,” added Kumaraswamy.
Niraj Rajmohan, Co-founder and CTO of Ultraviolette, said the company’s entry into Europe underscores its commitment to delivering India-designed electric vehicles for global markets.
