Celebrating World EV Day, Pune based Tork Motors has launched its unique mobile service van – PIT CREW.
The service van will act as a compact showroom and service centre on wheels with the capability to maintain the motorcycles’ periodic maintenance.
The PIT CREW vans are currently functional in Pune, and by the end of this functional year they will also roll out in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad.
The vans can accommodate three motorcycles at a time and will also be used for delivery purposes.
“Customer satisfaction has always been our priority at Tork Motors, and the PIT CREW is designed to offer just the same. With this, we are sure to reach out to our customers located in distant areas as well as offer just the same. With this, we are sure to reach out to our customers located in distant areas and offer a convenient solution for urban customers who are always on the run. It is our endeavor at Tork to offer a sustainable EV ecosystem to our customers, “ said Kapil Shelke, Founder and CEO of Tork Motors.
PIT CREW vans will be thermally insulated to maintain lower temperatures inside the van.
“Moreover, the multipurpose PIT CREW will be the first touch point to connect with customers for our impending dealer partners across India, as they can start operations while the showrooms are getting ready. With this distinctive business model, we are looking at fostering our service network as well as extending our reach across cities,” Shelke added.
Taking direct inspiration from the brand’s motorsport heritage, Tork Motors PIT CREW will carry all the necessary tools, spare parts and other consumables to support immediate and last-minute vehicle maintenance requirements.
They will also be connected to the cloud to detect any software error and to provide any necessary updates for the motorcycles while servicing, just like the racetrack pit crew experience.
Claimed as a hi-tech vehicle, the PIT CREW vans will be GPS and Wi-Fi enabled and will also be thermally insulated to maintain lower temperatures inside the van.
They will also be equipped with a 4000-Watt inverter with 5.4 kWh of battery and two motorcycle chargers of 700 watts for on-the-spot vehicle charging requirements.
Other services like dry cleaning and polishing will also be provided.
