Tata Motors has revealed that the Tiago EV has surpassed 50,000 units sold nationwide, marking a significant sales milestone. When the Tiago EV made its debut in India in 2022, it was the most reasonably priced electric car available.
The Tiago EV is provided with an option of two battery packs, a 19.2 kWh battery pack or a larger 24 kWh version. According to MIDC standards, the larger pack is said to have a range of up to 275 km, while the smaller pack is said to have a range of up to 221 km on a single charge.
The battery pack also affects the electric motor’s output. The larger pack is combined with a more powerful 55 kW motor that produces 114 Nm of peak torque, while the smaller unit is partnered with a 45 kW motor that produces 105 Nm. Additionally, it has two drive modes, sport and city. Five color schemes are available, tropical mist, daytona grey, trademark teal blue, daytona grey, tropical mist, pristine white, and midnight plum.
With four trim levels—XE, XT, XZ+, and the range-topping XZ+ Tech LUX—the Tata Tiago EV is offered in Medium and Long range configurations. Ex-showroom prices range from Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 11.49 lakh.
