Along with the release of the Curvv, Tata Motors has announced that on August 7th, a Charge Point Aggregator App would be released. An integration of the company’s nationwide charge point aggregator feature into the Tata Motors Connected Car app is planned.
The company announced on social media that it will integrate the most charge points—more than 15 CPOs—across India, offer real-time charger status availability, seamless navigation to charger locations, integrate Tata EV data to enable trip planning based on vehicle range and charger usage data, and allow users to rate charge points.
While charging infra has grown to over 13,000+ charging points pan India, EV owners face challenges finding available, high quality chargers, and Tata Motors aims to address this range anxiety via this app.
The company will also launch the Curvv on this day. Prices for the Curvv will be announced on August 7, likely covering all its iterations — petrol, diesel, and electric. The diesel engine will be the existing 1.5-litre unit from the Nexon, while the EV will be offered with two battery options.
We expect the Curvv prices to range from Rs 12 lakh to Rs 20 lakh, while the electric version could be priced between Rs 16 lakh to Rs 22 lakh.
