Tata Motors has supplied 100 electric buses to Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC). The buses were launched by the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma on 1 January 2024.
According to the press announcement, the zero-emission buses are powered by cutting-edge battery systems, have the newest technologies, and are constructed locally using a next-generation architecture.

Over 1,500 electric buses with an uptime of over 95% have been supplied by Tata Motors to various Indian cities, totaling over 10 crore kilometers driven. Among other cutting-edge features, it has an Intelligent Transport System (ITS), air suspension, electronic stability control, an electronic brake distribution system, and a panic button.
