By 2028, Sujan ContiTech hopes to hold the top spot in the Indian auto industry for NVH (noise, vibration, harness) products. Its Samarth 2.0 Growth for All plan, which lays out a company growth strategy for 2024 to 2028, includes this objective.
Throughout its five-year joint venture, several domestic and international auto brands have increased their consumer base. It entered the domestic EV market for the first time in 2023, purchasing a business from a well-established and seasoned competitor. SCT’s portfolio now includes PVs, CVs, and EVs thanks to this nomination.
Additionally, SCT has created and produced novel NVH goods, some of which have substantial export potential. Additionally, the SCT JV is focusing on patents and advanced engineering locally. SCT operates two plants: at Maraimalai Nagar, close to Chennai, and in Chakan, Pune. In the NVH industry, its R&D centre is one of the most sophisticated.
Vijay Sujan, CEO, SCT said: “Our partnership with Continental AG is seamless in operations, R&D and ESG. Both partners are working collaboratively to leverage each other’s strengths in experience, and across regions. Customers are recognising the alliance for the support provided in ICE and EV through innovative technologies. We are aiming at customer delight and to bring in new generation technology.”
Franzsika Jung, board member, SCT said: “The Sujan Group is a capable partner in our India journey. We are committed to the joint venture and happy to support SCT on innovation and EVs, reduce the generation gap in technologies and introduce new products.”
