Bengaluru-based EV startup Simple Energy has launched its second electric scooter, the Dot One at an introductory price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru) for pre-booked Simple One customers from the city. This limited offer stands while inventory lasts.
According to the firm, the official launch pricing for new clients would be “slightly higher” in January 2024. Bookings for Simple One are now available online.
The Dot One has a single fixed battery that delivers 151km of certified range and 160km in IDC. The Dot One comes with a 750W charger and is available in four colors: Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White, and Azure Blue. Deliveries will begin in Bangalore, followed by other cities in stages.
Simple One asserts The Dot One, which rides on 12-inch wheels with specially built tubeless tyres, travels from 0 to 40kph in 2.77 seconds. The e-scooter has a 3.7 kWh battery capacity and an 8.5 kW electric motor, and it has a peak torque output of 72 Nm. CBS is one of the safety elements, and it is complimented by effective disc brakes. The EV includes a 35-litre underseat storage compartment. A touchscreen instrument cluster with various capabilities and app connectivity is another product highlight.
