Hyderabad-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer PURE EV has entered into a strategic partnership with French climate-tech firm BE Energy to develop advanced lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery conditioning technology. This collaboration aims to enhance battery performance, extend lifespan, and improve sustainability. The technology focuses on optimizing battery efficiency, reducing waste, and minimizing environmental impact. By reconditioning and rejuvenating existing batteries, the initiative is expected to lower long-term costs for electric vehicle (EV) owners, making EV adoption more economical. Additionally, this partnership aligns with global efforts to promote greener transportation solutions, reduce dependency on raw materials, and support the circular economy in the EV sector.
The partnership will combine PURE EV’s patented BatricsFaraday technology with BE Energy’s patented advanced battery reconditioning equipment to bring it to the Indian market. By improving
sustainability, this project seeks to assist India’s electric vehicle industry’s decarbonization.
Additionally, the partnership signifies the beginning of BE Energy’s operations in India. In keeping with India’s “Make in India” campaign, the first facility under the partnership will be built at Karmanghat IDA, Hyderabad, in the upcoming fiscal year.
The collaboration supports PURE EV’s mission to build long-lasting electric cars and seeks to provide end users and financial institutions confidence in their resale value, according to Nishanth Dongari, the company’s founder and MD. The partnership strengthens BE Energy’s dedication to promoting sustainability in the EV industry and lowering carbon emissions through battery reconditioning, according to Bertrand Coste, the company’s founder and global president.
