Electric bus fleet operator, PMI Electro Mobility has supplied 15 electric buses in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh in an effort towards sustainable transportation.
Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh flagged off the electric buses in the city of Dharamshala.
PMI Electro Mobility will provide a total of 50 electric buses to Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) for Dharamshala.
The company will maintain the buses for 10 years duration.
This will reduce 14,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide and each bus will save 28,000 kgs of carbon dioxide annually.
Chairman of PMI Electro Mobility, Satish Jain, said, “PMI is committed to providing world-class electric buses with advanced features such as air suspension, real-time monitoring system through CCTV cameras, pre-emptive diagnostics, and more, through their indigenous technology. PMI will operate and manage these buses with tech-enabled electric bus depots for the efficient running of buses to provide citizens of Dharamshala with reliable services.”
He added, “With these electric buses, the state will be able to avoid over 1,800 tonnes of carbon emissions every year, thus contributing to the clean energy revolution in India and making a positive impact on the environment.”
Electric buses of PMI have advanced features like real-time diagnostics, and air suspension which makes the buses cost-effective and energy efficient.
