Ola has introduced a new variation of its most economical vehicle, the S1 X, including a massive 4kWh battery pack. The stated IDC range is 190 km, which is just 5 kilometres shorter than the S1 Pro Gen 2’s claimed range of 195 km.
The S1 X 4kWh is essentially comparable to the other models, with similar appearance, feature set, and nearly all measurements – with the exception of weight. The 4kWh variant weights 112kg, 4kg more than the S1 X with the 3kWh battery. A complete charge for the 4kWh model will take 6 hours and 30 minutes. The claimed peak speed is 90kph, which is the same as the S1 Air and other S1 X variations.
Along with this launch, founder and MD Bhavish Aggarwal revealed that Ola Electric will open 600 service centres by April and that the charging network will be expanded to 10,000 fast-charging points by the following quarter, a significant increase from the existing 1,000 stations.
Finally, he revealed that every new S1 e-scooter purchase would have an 8-year/80,000-kilometer battery guarantee at no additional cost. Customers can also choose to extend their warranty. Extending the warranty up to 1 lakh km would cost you an extra Rs 4,999, while extending it to 1.25 lakh kilometres will cost you an additional Rs 13,999.
