Government Polytechnic, Bhubaneswar on behalf of the Directorate of Technical Education & Training (DTET) has signed three MoUs with Skyy Rider Institutions Pvt. Ltd., Skyy Rider Electric Pvt. Ltd and Aero Rovers.
A Skill Development Centre, an Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and a Drone Manufacturing and Training Centre will be set up in Odisha with the help of DTET through Government Polytechnic (GP) Bhubaneswar.
The proposed skill Development Centre will be developed by Skyy Rider Institutions with the help of the Odisha government to deliver more than 80 different skill development programs in the fields of automotive, electric vehicle and software development, Industrial Robotics, Drones, Mechanotrics.
Sources said it would generate more than 10,000 jobs annually. This centre will draw students from throughout the country for a variety of courses and raise Odisha’s profile nationally.
Skky Rider Electric Pvt. Ltd. signed an MoU with Government Polytechnic to set up an Electric Vehicle manufacturing unit on the Government Polytechnic campus.
This MoU will help to enable the EV eco-system and provide the necessary facilities to produce more than 16 categories of vehicles.
Skyy Rider Electric intends to provide electric vehicles for commercial, medical and public utility use Government Polytechnic Principal Bhubaneswar Sushant Kumar Patra, Skyy Rider Institutions Pvt. Ltd. CEO Himanshu Sekhar Panda, Skky Rider Electric Pvt. Ltd. CEO Nihar Ranjan Panda and CEO of Aero Rovers Jajati Mohanty signed the MoUs in the presence of DTET Director Raghu G.
Aero Rovers will set up drone pilot training simulators and also provide hands-on technical knowledge to the students of Government Polytechnic Bhubaneswar.
