What started out as a personal quest to rekindle a passion from childhood has grown into a thriving global community. With over 2,500 members worldwide, the Mustang Mach-E Girls Club was started by a veteran Mustang lover and offers a special place for ladies who own and like the electric Mustang Mach-E.
A family who adores Mustangs opens the tale. Because of her father’s love for his 1969 GT, the founder never thought she would own anything other than a classic Mustang. But she had to think about other possibilities because of her family’s practical needs—that is, until she saw the Mustang Mach-E SUV driving down the road. She bought one after being immediately enthralled with its spaciousness and svelte style, and she rejoined the Mustang family.
“The City of Dallas is committed to a clean, safe, and healthy environment, and we’re making great strides in our efforts to reduce emissions and improve air quality,” said Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson. “This agreement with Ford Pro marks a significant milestone and will help our city avoid energy waste and save money on energy costs. We look forward to building upon our work with Ford Pro to further scale EV charging infrastructure and electrify our fleet operations to continue to serve our great city now and in the future.”
“EV adoption is on the rise with state and local government fleets, and we’re proud to provide smart charging software and hardware to help electrify one of the Lone Star State’s biggest cities in one of America’s biggest metro areas,” said Ford Pro CEO Ted Cannis. “The impact software can have on EV charging can be substantial, helping public agencies like the City of Dallas not only manage charging infrastructure today, but help determine where chargers may be needed in the future.”
Despite her enthusiasm, she noticed a gap in online spaces—there were no communities specifically for women who own the electric pony. Recognizing that many first-time EV owners have unique needs and motivations, she decided to create a supportive group where customization and women-centric ownership could be celebrated.
Thus, the Mustang Mach-E Girls Club was born. Initially, the founder expected a modest following, but the club quickly grew to 2,500 members, proving a significant demand for such a space. The club’s motto, “no dumb questions,” fosters an inclusive environment where members can freely share their experiences and seek advice.
Victoria Huerta, a key figure since the club’s inception, praised the Mach-E: “I never thought I could love a car more than my Model X, but the Mach-E has surpassed all my expectations.” As a moderator, Huerta’s expertise ensures that the group’s wealth of shared information is accessible and organized.
The community extends beyond the digital realm with regional chapters and numerous in-person events like Cars and Coffee and track days. Members share photos, stories, road trip tips, and charging experiences, creating a genuine, welcoming community.
Sophie Dower, another enthusiastic member, highlighted the club’s impact: “I’ve always been a car nerd, but it’s always been a bit lonely. When I saw a group of women who love the Mach-E, I thought this is the greatest thing ever.”
The Mustang Mach-E Girls Club continues to grow, welcoming new members and planning events year-round. For those interested in joining, the club offers an engaging and supportive community of women passionate about their Mach-E and the broader EV movement.
