At the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, Maruti Suzuki unveiled the new eVitara, and some dealers have begun taking unofficial reservations for the electric SUV before its formal introduction. For Rs 25,000, buyers can reserve the eVitara, the first-ever Maruti Suzuki electric crossover.
The company’s first electric car, the new Maruti Suzuki eVitara, is anticipated to go on sale in March 2025. According to the business, the electric crossover can travel 500 kilometers on a single charge and will come with two battery packs: a 49kWh and a 61kWh. The larger battery pack produces 172 horsepower and the same amount of torque as the 49kWh unit, which produces 142 horsepower and 192.5 Nm of torque.
The Maruti Suzuki eVitara features a 10.1-inch infotainment system that can link to smartphones, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, a driver’s seat that can be adjusted with power, ventilated seats, wireless charging, and reclinable back seats. Additionally, the Vitara will be available in ten color schemes, including four possibilities with two tones.
Regarding safety, the eVitara will be the first car from Maruti Suzuki to have ADAS Level 2. In addition to ADAS, the eVitara has an automatic parking brake, blind spot recognition, a 360-degree camera, seven airbags, and a tire pressure monitoring system. When the eVitara is introduced, its main rivals will be the Tata Curvv EV and the Hyundai Creta Electric.
