With the inauguration of its first fleet of ten electric buses for intercity travel, LeafyBus, an electric bus operator located in New Delhi, and Accelerated Money For U (AMU) have made an important contribution to sustainable transportation. These buses, which AMU will finance, will first be deployed on heavily used routes, including as the crowded Delhi-Dehradun corridor. An important step towards India’s shift to green mobility has been taken with this project.
The partnership is a reflection of India’s growing focus on environmentally friendly transportation options, especially in the electric vehicle (EV) market. LeafyBus and AMU hope to drastically reduce the carbon footprint associated with long-distance travel while providing customers with an affordable mode of transportation by meeting the need for cleaner mobility on popular routes.
The latest electric buses from LeafyBus have a number of features that put the comfort and safety of their passengers first. Every bus has real-time tracking devices, CCTV surveillance, and a designated “Bus Buddy” to help passengers while they travel. In addition to having a spotless and cozy interior that is intended to facilitate easy travel, the buses are equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS) to guarantee the highest safety requirements.
“At LeafyBus, we aim to make electric travel the norm across India,” said CEO and founder Rohan Dewan, expressing his enthusiasm for the idea. By facilitating more convenient, environmentally friendly intercity travel, our partnership with AMU advances our mission. When we work together, we can give everyone access to greener and more effective transportation options.
