Right after the details of EV maker Ola Electric’s upcoming e-scooter got leaked, Ola Electric has officially declared the arrival date of its new variant, Ola S1 Lite.
The upcoming Ola S1 Lite is slated for an October 22 debut, just two days ahead of Diwali.
The company has revealed that its upcoming offering would be priced under Rs 80,000, making it as affordable as the Honda Activa.
Interestingly, the company also claims that despite its competitive pricing, the new e-scooter won’t skimp out on features.
The upcoming Ola S1 variant could use a smaller lithium-ion battery instead of the 3kWh battery from the S1, possibly giving it a range of 100km.
Products like the Ather 450X, TVS iQube Electric and Bajaj Chetak offer a similar range. However, the Ola should have some features and pricing advantages over these e-scooters.
