A preview of the impending Huracan replacement has been released by Lamborghini design director, Mitja Borkert, giving us an idea of what to expect from the model. August 16 is when the hybrid supercar, most likely to be known as the Temerario, is expected to make its public debut during Monterey Car Week.
The teaser just depicts the supercar’s profile, but it does hint that the Huracan’s replacement will have a body that is reminiscent of a Lamborghini—it will be aggressive and sleek, which will help with aerodynamics.
Spy shots of the model on test showed that a number of styling elements will be shared with Lamborghini flagship, the Revuelto – the Y-shaped motifs on the bumpers, the lights (front and rear), and the wheels. The rear of the supercar had a high-mounted hexagonal end can and a prominent rear diffuser with scooped-out edges that expose the wheels.
As we’ve reported before, the supercar will come with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that makes 800hp and 730Nm, and is said to rev up to 10,000rpm. This petrol engine will be combined with an electric motor that’s mounted in the dual-clutch gearbox unit, and produces 150hp and 300Nm. Total output figures are expected to be north of 900hp. Battery details of this plug-in hybrid supercar have yet to be revealed.
