According to recent reports, the electric version of the Kia Syros by Kia is expected to make its debut in India in 2026. The Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra’s XUV400 are two vehicles that the electric Kia Syros will be up against.
Although there are little specifics available, it is known that the Syros EV will be a front-wheel-drive all-electric small SUV and that it will use the same K1 platform as the Hyundai Inster EV, which is available in foreign countries. Both the 42kWh and 49kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt battery options for the Hyundai have WLTP-rated ranges of 300 and 355 kilometers, respectively.
The Syros EV is anticipated to have a similar appearance to its gasoline and diesel versions, with the exception of modest exterior modifications such as highlights, emblems, and areo-optimized wheels, as well as interior modifications such as EV-specific software for the displays and various trims and upholstery. It is also anticipated that the safety kit and features list would be identical. The segment-first reclining, sliding, and ventilated second-row seats, a 5-inch touchscreen for the climate control system, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, two 12.3-inch displays for infotainment functions and instrumentation, and Level 2 ADAS are among the highlights.
The Kia Syros is anticipated to be available for between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 20 lakh, ex-showroom. We can anticipate that Kia would provide some launch deals.
