A panel of 60 jurors from 23 different nations selected the Kia EV3 as one of seven finalists for the 2025 Car of the Year award out of an initial selection of 42 models. After the Kia EV6’s victory in 2022, this milestone represents the fourth year in a row that a Kia electric vehicle has advanced to the final round.
The 400V fast-charging technology of the EV3 allows a charge from 10% to 80% in just 29 minutes*, and it has a class-leading range of up to 605 km (WLTP). The EV3 is among the most efficient electric cars in its class, with drivers gaining up to 202 km of range in just 15 minutes. Kia Charge, the brand’s vast network that offers access to more than 800,000 charging stations in 28 European countries, supports its performance.
The EV3 exemplifies Kia’s “Opposites United” design concept, which combines contemporary style with organic balance. Practical features like a 460L boot, a flexible two-tier floor, and a 25L trunk compliment its roomy, living room-inspired interior, which is created by its 2.68m wheelbase and 4.30m length.
Marc Hedrich, President and CEO of Kia Europe, stated, “I am proud that Kia is the only brand present in Europe that reached six times the COTY finalist stage over the last eight editions and even won with a dedicated EV.” “The Kia EV3, which is currently available throughout Europe, is an flexible and reasonably priced electric vehicle that demonstrates that an EV can serve as the primary vehicle in the home and fit a range of lifestyles.”
