The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) startup incubation hub NSRCEL and the non-profit Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) of the Jubilant Bhartia Group established a cooperation to foster enterprises in electric vehicle (EV) and lithium-ion battery related technologies. Technology, life sciences, agritech, and animal nutrition are further areas.
In addition to being in line with the Sustainable Development Goals 2030, JBF’s extensive initiatives include women’s empowerment, community development, healthcare, education, vocational training, and the encouragement of social entrepreneurship.
Leveraging this extensive expertise, the partnership with NSRCEL will extend support to 4-6 revenue-generating startups, enabling them to advance along their growth trajectory.
Recognising the substantial investment required to drive innovation in these sectors, each selected startup will receive a minimum grant of Rs 10 lakh, with the possibility of higher amounts based on milestones achieved. The allocation of grants will be milestone-based, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and incentivising tangible progress.
