What you’ll do at Ather:
- Explore the processes w.r.t part layout and finalize the process based on PUGH matrix with PQCD criteria primarily of fabrications but having additional inputs to welding, machining and associated processes.
- Draft initial high level process flow diagrams and indicate the broad level process time required for each process to create a balanced process
- x`good knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, press brake forming, Spin forming, deep drawing, stretch forming, Progressive forming would be a added advantage
- Anticipate the challenges that come in development and keep the required derisking actions.
- Feed the DFM to the respective designer during the Proof of concept stage to keep the track right.
- Knowledge of Welding procedure specification would be an added advantage
- Review of Tool/Die/Mould, Fixtures and gauge concepts and give go ahead to tool design kick off
- Calculate the final cycle time, takt time, line set up along with supplier w.r.t the said production volumes. Support for ramp up plan and support suppliers in creation of line scale up concepts
- Prepare inspection methods for checking, draft initial Agreement on inspection and signoff with supplier.
- Involve in inspection at supplier end as well as internal inward quality inspection system and keep the parts available for the builds.
- Communicate the Engineering change notices to the supplier and implement the relevant changes in a systematic approach.
- Involve in run@ rate trails after tool development and get consensus on Capacity planning with supplier
- Involve in process capability studies for the drawing CTQs and get signoff with the supplier.
- Participate in PPAP readiness at supplier level and get PSW signoff after successful completion. Involve in technical problem solving and sustenance of fabrication and forging suppliers. Link between PFMEA & Control Plan and create robust defect free supplies.
- Help in First off Approval, Periodic Inspection, Gaging methods and Challenge Poka-yoke for processes at supplier end
