Your work will include, but not be limited to:
•Proactive monitoring of manufacturing networks using standardized tools.
•Responsible for optimizing network performance, troubleshooting network operational impacts, and ensuring network-based security controls remain functional.
•Responsible for multiple plants coverage matching respective time zones
•Responsible for secure network design, establishing, and enforcing system standards; creating and maintaining accurate technical documentation for local area industrial networking.
•As needed participation in after-hours maintenance activities in support of maintenance and design initiatives
•In-depth knowledge of Network Access Control for large scale corporate network (Cisco ISE).
•Provide technical expertise around operational enhancement for GM network automation and security.
•Provide on-site support/trainings on as need basis.
•Travel to GM manufacturing locations in Asia Pacific, South America and North America regions to support deployment of manufacturing cybersecurity initiatives
Required Knowledge/Experience:
•Minimum 3+ year’s relevant experience in large-scale enterprise network operations.
•Experience with network architecture methodologies, standards, and tools.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentations.
•Experience with Cisco local area network hardware.
•Working level understanding of network cybersecurity and the NIST framework.
•Working level understanding of industrial automation architecture and industrial control hardware.
•Demonstrated problem solving skills and timely decision-making capability
•Bachelors ‘degree (Engineering/Technical discipline preferred) and/or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
•5+ year’s relevant experience in large-scale enterprise network operations
•Engineering bachelor’s degree, Electrical/Computer Engineering
•CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP and other industry and vendor specific certifications preferred.
•2+ Industrial Control Network experience
•Familiarity with network and security monitoring platforms such as NNMi and Qradar.
•Understanding of RADIUS, 802.1x, EAP-TLS, and familiarity with Cisco ISE.
