Key Skills of Charging Systems Design Senior Manager:
● Design and development of converters – AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC to be used in the powertrains and
energy modules.
● Lead the ideation, design, development and deployment of digital and analog circuits for
chargers, rectifiers, switch gears, cables, bus bar, etc.
● Converting architecture to schematic & design of the E&E components for Portable & Fast/Hyper
charger.
● Lead technical reviews with designers to ensure design rules and standards are followed while
the team is interacting closely / taking necessary inputs from concerned stakeholders.
● Meet Engineering and Program milestones as applicable to achieve successful SOP (Start of
Production).
● Ensure that the issues/technical problems encountered during product design, development, test
& validation, proto/assembly vehicle built are resolved with the learning captured as TGR/TGW
or guidelines.
● Steer the team at all times ensuring a clear path to achieving QCD (Quality, Cost, Deliverables)
includes any other technical deliverables fixed by management (such as Product Durability,
Reliability, Warranty).
● Preparation of flow charts of Electrical, Electronics and Software logics. Lead the team to design,
develop and validate charger systems and ensuring Product KPI’s are being met
Technical Skills:
● Hands-on experience in EV charger for 2W, 4W & compliant standards will be preferred.
● Familiar with standards IEC-61851/ISO 15118, CHAdeMO/CCS protocols, communication, etc.
● Design and development of converters – AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC to be used in the powertrains and
energy modules & CAN/PLC Communication, Ethernet.
● Solid understanding of power electronics topologies.
● Design and hands on Battery systems control and charge/discharge operations
● Knowledge on Thermal Management
● Design experience with all phases of electronic circuit design including component selection,
driver and sensor design.
● Working knowledge in control theory and sensor integration is a plus. Familiar with standards,
CHAdeMO/CCS protocols, communication, etc.
● Knowledge on Li-on Batteries charging and performance.
● Knowledge on PLC,Microcontroller, Switchgear,SPD,Energy Management.
● Knowledge on Thermal Management and Safety & Certification
● Knowledge on EMI/EMC, ESD, ARAI standards and testing.
● Knowledge in control theory and sensor integration is a plus.
● Design Knowledge of 3 phase industrial electrical control panels with power and control circuits
as per UL, IEC standards.
Managerial Skills:
● Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical proposals to the management.
● Should take initiatives with a Proactive approach to resolve technical challenges.
● Good organizational skills, ability to lead, motivate and focus team members and other
stakeholders.
● Capture the learnings/lessons during product development as guidelines for future projects.
● Contribute & encourage the team to work on innovative ideas, file patents, participate in
technology seminars, release technical papers in SAE.
