iCreate has announced the winners of EVangelise ‘23, the third edition of India’s largest EV innovation challenge.
Over 2,700 entries were submitted, representing a 138% increase over the previous year. EVangelise ’23 aims to contribute to India’s ambition of electric cars accounting for 80% of all two- and three-wheeler sales by 2030. Winners in various categories earned cash rewards totaling Rs 15 lakhs for TRL 5 categories and Rs 25 lakhs for TRL 5 & above categories. The organization also announced the winners of the inaugural RISC-V contest, which focused on EV-specific applications. The awardees were recognized for their contributions to leveraging the RISC-V architecture for novel EV solutions.
The EVangelise ’23 program, launched by iCreate, intends to promote India’s 2030 ambition of electric vehicles (EVs) accounting for 80% of all two- and three-wheeler sales. The program focuses on linking inventors with industry partners, offering incubation support, and enabling access to funding, in addition to recognizing new developments in EV technology. The program also includes the RISC-V competition, which recognizes excellent RISC-V-based EV applications. iCreate is dedicated to driving RISC-V and semiconductor technology innovation to define the future of electric cars.

In the TRL 5 & above category of the EVangelise ‘23 initiative, Vijigi Energy Private Limited, a Gujarat-based startup, secured the first place for its Integrated Electrical and Controls Platform designed for Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV). Auklr Technologies Private Limited, based in Bangalore, claimed the second place for its solution specializing in Android-based EV instrument clusters, transforming analog dashboards into feature-rich centers for enhanced safety. The third place was awarded to Blaer Motors, a Chennai-based startup, for developing a smart 500W Motor Controller Unit and a 500W Brushed DC Motor Controller Unit for E-bikes and mopeds.
EVangelise ‘23 spanned over six months, featuring participation from startups and EV innovators representing 20 states and union territories in India. The event provided a platform for showcasing novel solutions addressing real-life challenges in the EV industry under three themes: Traction, Energy and Telematics, and Intelligence and Connectivity (TIC). The initiative aimed to foster innovation and connect participants with industry partners, offering incubation support and access to capital.
