A recent effort to win the Greatest Altitude Change by an Electric Car title from the renowned GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM was made by Hyundai Motor Company’s award-winning IONIQ 5. The IONIQ 5, which was organized by Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) and piloted by the skilled team from Evo India, accomplished an impressive 5,802-meter altitude change.
Umling La in Leh Ladakh, India’s highest driveable point, is 5,799 meters above sea level. The trip started there and concluded at Kuttanad, Kerala, which is three meters below sea level.

More than 4,900 miles of difficult terrain and severe weather were traversed throughout the 14-day record-breaking feat.
This accomplishment demonstrated the IONIQ 5’s remarkable performance, cutting-edge technology, and longevity. The Hyundai IONIQ 5 demonstrated its leadership in electric mobility in a variety of environments, including the humid coastal climate of Kerala and the frigid cold and high mountain passes of the Himalayas.
