The Honda Ye Series will eventually include three more EVs to accompany the new crossovers and elegant saloon; all six will go on sale in China by 2027.
The new, flattened, white version of the iconic Honda “H” symbol will be affixed to every vehicle, and Dongfeng Honda and GAC Honda, the brand’s joint venture partners, will handle its operations.
By year’s end, buyers of the P7 and S7 crossovers can select between a front-wheel drive, single motor setup and a four-wheel drive, twin motor setup.
According to Honda, the 4WD models will increase performance and have somewhat more responsive handling, while the RWD versions will have “sporty and crisp handling.”
Although the Japanese business hasn’t shown the cars’ interiors, it has indicated that both include an artificial intelligence-powered assistant and an LED instrument panel.
In contrast, the GT Concept boasts “dynamic performance,” an extra-wide windscreen, and a “race driver” driving posture.
Although the giant hasn’t disclosed any information on the low-slung saloon’s powertrain, it has stated that the production model would be on sale by the end of 2025.
It claimed that the MM (Man Maximum, Machine Minimum) idea served as the foundation for the Ye models’ designs and that their driving styles enhanced “the joy of driving.”
They will be offered alongside Honda’s current e:N electric crossovers, of which the smaller model is marketed as the e:Ny1 in the UK.
Honda said its introduction of the Ye Series will help “accelerate its transformation in China where the EV shift is proceeding rapidly”.
