Hero MotoCorp has said that, to conduct short-term supply realignment, it will halt production at four of its units from April 17 to April 19. The company will utilize the time to carry out facility maintenance activities.
The largest two-wheeler company in the country put out a release stating, “As we walk through a short-term supply synchronization, we want to let you know that production will be suspended temporarily from April 17-19, 2025, at four of our manufacturing facilities, Dharuhera, Gurugram, Haridwar, and Neemrana.”
The company added that it is taking the planned downtime to strengthen operations by undertaking facilities enhancements, and maintenance.
Production will resume from April 21, 2025, the company said. “Our Halol and Tirupati facilities will continue uninterrupted during this period,” it said.
Hero MotoCorp indicated the halt of production would not impact the company’s ability to satisfy the retail demand of domestic as well as export markets. The company made it clear that it had strategized the break so as to be in line with demand cycles and to manage its inventory more effectively throughout its network. It further indicated that the production delay would be recovered fairly well in the coming month.
Hero MotoCorp was at the pole position within the domestic two-wheeler space by selling more than 54 lakh units in the last year. Hero MotoCorp has an installed annual production capacity of approximately nine million units combined.
