According to him, the PLI schemes have greatly enhanced private sector investments, localization, and product customization, and they are expected to raise demand in the coming years.
Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green Energy & Power Solutions Ltd. and Chair of the FICCI Committee on Electric Vehicles, Sulajja Firodia Motwani, observed the increasing use of EVs in the automotive industry. To position India as a major participant in both EV production and consumption, she suggested actions include developing a strong action plan to boost demand, implementing a graded PLI 2.0, reviewing tariff and duty structures, and stepping up research and development.
