EMotorad organised the first-ever E-cyclothon in India, which took place in Pune. Around 200 e-cycling enthusiasts came to Mayfield Ivy Garden in Baner to commemorate World Bicycle Day and World Environment Day in an environmentally conscious way. The event started at 6:30 AM.
The E-cyclothon attracted a remarkable number of riders, who rode for 20 km from Baner over picturesque paths that passed through Pashan Hill, NDA, and Aundh before finishing back at the starting site. With participants ranging in age from 9 to late 60s, safety and following rules were of utmost importance during the event, which was supervised by experts.
An energetic Zumba warm-up exercise got the day started and got everyone ready for the journey ahead. After the ride, guests enjoyed a healthy breakfast as well as environmentally responsible goodie bags filled with stationary, whey protein, plants, coffee hampers, and other items. The event was made much more exciting by Shivam Naruka of the EMotorad team, who performed an amazing e-cycle stunt session that left onlookers in wonder. At an award ceremony that marked the end of the day, participants received presents, goods, and medals in remembrance of the special memories from the first-ever E-cyclothon.
Expressing his delight at the event’s success, EMotorad’s Chief Marketing Officer, Aditya Oza, emphasized the significance of Pune in the company’s journey, stating, “Pune holds a special place for us as our first customer came from the city, and many of our team, including founders, were educated here. We hope this event inspires more people to adopt e-cycles, leading the torch of sustainability in Maharashtra and beyond.”
Participants and spectators departed with a sense of fulfillment, having contributed to a greener planet while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of the E-cyclothon. EMotorad’s initiative has set a new standard for sustainable events in India, inspiring individuals to embrace eco-friendly practices.
