An electric three-wheeler fleet has been developed by Borzo (previously WeFast) to provide sustainable logistics options in cities. This project intends to increase flexibility and efficiency in the volumetric distribution market while offering environmentally friendly delivery choices to local clients and companies.
With aspirations to expand to Delhi, the electric three-wheelers will initially be employed in Mumbai. Lightweight deliveries weighing up to 500 kg can be handled by these vehicles. 30% of Borzo’s fleet of three-wheelers will be electrified as part of its larger sustainability plan. The company also hopes to add four-wheelers, like micro trucks and tempos, which can carry loads of up to 750 kg.
Borzo will provide flexible work schedules and excellent operational efficiency to gig delivery partners that own their cars in order to guarantee seamless operations. To improve performance and dependability, the business will also work with electric vehicle (EV) service providers. Borzo’s objective of cutting carbon emissions and running an environmentally friendly logistics network is in line with this strategy.
Borzo intends to use aggressive marketing tactics, such as coupon codes for business-to-business customers, to advertise its new 3-wheeler and truck delivery services in addition to electrifying its fleet. With the goal of onboarding 1,500 delivery partners for this category, the company just started operating 3-wheeler, compact truck, and tempo deliveries.
At the moment, Borzo serves hyperlocal and SME logistics needs by running a fleet of more than 60,000 delivery partners throughout India.
