Rupa Devi Singh has been named an Independent Director of BluSmart, the all-electric, vertically integrated EV ride-hailing and charging infrastructure network in South Asia.
Singh has held executive positions as the founder, managing director, and chief executive officer of Power Exchange India Ltd. (PXIL) and as an independent director and non-executive (part-time) chairman of DCB Bank Ltd. She has a wealth of experience in banking, infrastructure consulting, and finance. She presently sits on the boards of several additional companies, such as Aarti Industries Ltd. and JSW Energy.
Singh said, “I’m excited to contribute to BluSmart’s vision of advancing sustainable urban mobility and supporting developments in the EV sector,” as she considered her new position.
BluSmart’s co-founder and chairperson, Anmol Singh Jaggi, said he is certain that Singh’s experience in structured finance and infrastructure will support BluSmart’s long-term objectives and assist the company focus on developing decarbonized transportation solutions.
Singh, a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers and a graduate of the University of Delhi with a B.Sc. and LL.B., has held numerous leadership roles in a variety of industries. Rupa Devi Singh and Inderpreet Singh Wadhwa, the former chair and CEO of Azure Power Global Limited, have joined BluSmart’s board as independent directors.
