BluSmart, the nation’s leading born-electric, full stack, vertically integrated eMobility ride hailing service and EV charging infrastructure network, teamed up with the Lung Care Foundation (LCF), a social impact trust that promotes lung health in India, for the launch of the World Health Day campaign. Encouraging safe riding and a healthy commute for drivers and passengers alike, the month-long campaign aligns with BluSmart’s mission to “Decarbonise Mobility at Scale.”
Anirudh Arun, co-founder and CEO of BluSmart Fleet, offered his opinion on the ad, saying, “BluSmart is determined to be smoke-free both inside and outside of our EVs. In keeping with our goal of building a greener, more sustainable future, we promote responsible and prudent behaviour among our passengers and driver partners. With “My Health, My Right” serving as this year’s World Health Day theme, our campaign is made with our Driver partners’ and riders’ best interests in mind, giving them the freedom to live healthier lives.
“We can’t wait any longer.” Our health is greatly impacted by the decisions we make and the air we breathe. It’s time to escape the clutches of smoking and air pollution. This campaign is about more than just keeping our cars clean—it’s about making a commitment to a healthy future for present and future generations. Let’s make a future where having clean air is a civil right rather than a luxury by driving sensibly and breathing easy”, said Dr. Arvind Kumar, Chairman, Institute of Chest Surgery, Chest Onco Surgery and Lung Transplantation Medanta; Founder and Managing Trustee Lung Care Foundation, emphasising on the seriousness of the situation.
“The goal of this cooperative effort is to increase citizen stakeholders’ ability to co-create and maintain the promotion of lung health and clean air for all. In addition to the Driver partner’s efforts to keep the car fresh and clean, BluSmart’s initiatives to reduce ambient air pollution will encourage visitors to make a contribution by keeping the cabin smoke-free. Many small, easy steps taken together result in increased awareness and impact,” said Rajiv Khurana, the Lung Care Foundation’s founder and trustee.
