To improve energy efficiency and boost the use of renewable energy throughout its operations, Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd. has partnered with Schneider Electric’s Sustainability Business. Six important manufacturing facilities in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh will get up to 13.6 MW of solar electricity as part of this strategic cooperation, which is in line with Bisleri’s Greener Promise.
Through this program, Bisleri hopes to boost energy efficiency by 2.5% throughout its operations and raise its green energy use to over 33%. Carbon emissions are predicted to drop by about 16,000 tons per year as a result of the switch to solar energy.
“Our collaboration with Schneider Electric underscores our commitment to sustainable solutions and the economic benefits of renewable energy,” said Angelo George, CEO of Bisleri International. “This initiative is a significant step toward achieving our sustainability goals.”
Deepak Sharma, Zone President, Greater India, MD & CEO of Schneider Electric India, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating, “We are dedicated to enabling businesses to reduce their environmental footprint by adopting cleaner and smarter energy solutions. We congratulate Bisleri on their commitment to sustainability and look forward to optimizing their renewable energy usage.”
Under Bisleri’s Greener Promise, the company has already implemented rooftop solar panels, which currently contribute 2.5% of its energy needs. Additionally, Phase 1 of its PET bottle lightweighting initiative has successfully cut its CO2 footprint by 15,000 tons per year.
Beyond energy efficiency, Bisleri remains committed to sustainability through plastic recycling, water conservation, and natural resource replenishment. This partnership with Schneider Electric marks another milestone in Bisleri’s journey to becoming a leader in sustainable business practices.
