Hero MotoCorp’s Skill Development Centre Atalji Skill Development Institute and Swarna Bharath Trust (SBT), affiliated training centre of ASDC have jointly organised its certification ceremony and placement drive under the Project Jeevika, a CSR Initiative in Hyderabad and Vijayawada.
A total of 22 of 23 candidates in Vijayawada and all 10 candidates in Hyderabad got the placement opportunity.
The event was attended by Deb Kumar Dasgupta- DGM and Lead Manager of Manpower Sourcing, HMCL as the chief guest, Sri DVN Rao, ED, Swarna Bharat Trust, Chandrakanth Chamoli, ASM, HMCL, Hari Varshan, HMCL, GSR Krishna, Director, SDI, and Sri Chandrasekhar, Phoenix Motors in Hyderabad.
However, Vijaybhaskar Rao – Director SBT, Kiran Kumar – Principal KL University, Mahesh – GM Dealer Sales of RM Motors, Nitesh SPOC, HMCL and Ramesh – Regional Head South, ASDC were present in Vijayawada.
Deb Kumar Dasgupta – DGM and Lead Manager of HMCL and Vijaybhaskar Rao – Director SBT highlighted the career progression opportunities in the automotive sector and jointly said at their respective location: “The objective of the project is to impart vocational training to underprivileged school & college dropout youths, provide short term training as Two-Wheeler Technician/Supervisor and assist them for consequent gainful employment as Two-Wheeler Technician / Supervisor”.
Arindam Lahiri, CEO, ASDC stated, “These certified students make us extremely proud, and have no doubt that they will have a great footprint in the automotive sector. We look forward to continuing to work with HMCL to create skill development opportunities for individuals in this industry.”
Hyderabad-based student said, “I am so happy to be a part of this batch and to receive my certification today. The training I received at this institute has prepared me well for the job market and I am confident that I will excel in my career in the automotive sector.”
Another student from Vijayawada said, “I am grateful for the opportunity to receive training at this institute and for the placement that I have received. I am excited to start my career in the automotive industry and to continue learning and growing in this field.”
These certification and placement ceremony was a testament to the success of the skill development program and the dedication of Hero MotoCorp in bridging the industry skill gap and supporting the Skill India Mission.
