Automotive manufacturer, Hyundai Motor has released an all-new electric SUV, Kona in India.
Two powertrain options will be available for the Kona electric: long-range and standard range.
The 48.4kWh lithium-ion battery powers the electric motor, which produces 153hp and a peak torque of 250Nm and it can run up to 342 km on a single charge.
The 65.4kWh larger battery powers the second motor, which produces 215hp and 255Nm peak torque and it can run up to 490 km on a single charge.
It takes just 41 minutes to charge the larger battery pack using a fast charger from 10% to 80%.
In its new form, the Hyundai Kona Electric gets an LED light bar treatment, an off-road-inspired design, and a clamshell bonnet. The new Kona Electric is 150mm longer and 25mm wider than the previous Kona. It also has a longer wheelbase of 60mm.
The 2023 Kona Electric features dual 12.3-inch displays, a column-mounted gear selector, a keyless enter, an 8-speaker Bose Sound system, a powered tailgate, and ADAS.
