GreenCell Mobility’s electric bus brand, NueGo has introduced its first all-female intercity electric bus from Kashmere Gate ISBT in Delhi bound for Agra.
A female pilot crew with training and experience, an onboard host, and solely female passengers operated the all-female intercity bus.
In addition to providing the female pilot with specialist training, the corporation also provides amenities like flexible work schedules and unique leave rules that are tailored exclusively for female personnel.
According to NueGo, providing women passengers with a safe and relaxing travel experience is a top goal.
To do this, only other female passengers may reserve the adjacent seat when a woman traveler books a seat on one of their buses. Women traveling in this section of the cabin will have a safe and comfortable experience.
Additionally, the company places a high priority on safety by outfitting its buses with CCTV surveillance, comfortable seating, and highly qualified coach hosts who are on hand to answer any inquiries or resolve any issues.
The most well-traveled routes in the nation are currently served by NueGo, including Indore-Bhopal, Delhi-Dehradun, Delhi-Agra, Delhi-Chandigarh, Delhi-Jaipur, Agra-Jaipur, Bangalore-Tirupati, and Hyderabad-Vijayawada.
Devndra Chawla, CEO & MD, GreenCell Mobility said, “As the world’s first bus brand to launch an all-women intercity electric bus, we are delighted to set this milestone. Our commitment is to ensure a fair and equitable representation of women in our workforce. We take immense pride in promoting women to positions of influence and challenging traditional industry norms that have long been associated with male dominance in certain roles. Our goal is to build India’s first national electric bus mass mobility brand, with a strong emphasis on empowering women.”
According to the corporation, its buses go through 25 rigorous safety inspections, including mechanical and electrical tests.
In heavy traffic, these e-buses can travel up to 250 km on a single charge when the air conditioners are running.
