ABZO Motors has launched its electric motorcycle, ABZO VS01, with a starting price of Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom) and an upper-tier price of Rs 2.22 lakh (ex-showroom).
Equipped with a 72V 70 Ah lithium-ion battery pack, the electric motorcycle boasts a range of up to 180 km on a single charge.
The ABZO VS01 is the latest addition to India’s growing electric two-wheeler market, which has traditionally been dominated by electric scooters but is now witnessing a surge in electric motorcycles.
The ABZO VS01 features a retro-themed cruiser design and is available in four different color options: Imperial Red, Mountain White, Georgian Bay, and Black.
It incorporates design elements such as LED headlights and taillamps, a fully digital instrument cluster, and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tires.
Dimensionally, the motorcycle boasts a 1,473 mm long wheelbase, 158 mm of ground clearance, and a 700 mm seat height. It produces 8.44 bhp peak power and 190 mm of maximum torque.
This electric motorcycle offers three distinct riding modes: Eco, Normal, and Sports, with speed ranges of 45 kmph, 65 kmph, and 85 kmph, respectively.
With a fully charged battery, it claims a range of 180 km and features regenerative braking technology. Charging the battery fully using a standard charger takes approximately six hours and 35 minutes, but it also supports fast charging, reducing the charging time to three hours and 20 minutes.
The suspension setup comprises a telescopic front fork and dual shock absorbers at the rear, while braking is handled by disc brakes on both front and rear wheels, accompanied by a combi-braking system (CBS).
Additionally, the motorcycle features a reverse mode for rider convenience.
Kanchi Patel, co-founder of ABZO Motors, mentioned that the ABZO VS01 will be launched in various regions across India gradually. He also hinted at the company’s plans to expand its presence in Gujarat and diversify its product lineup, including the addition of standard bikes in the near future.
